Tourist Destinations in Eastern Australia

Come and experience the great scenery up the mountains. The Katoomba Scenic Railway is one place you can go to see the steepest funicular railway in the world.
In Australia’s eastern coast you can find Whitsunday Islands which consist of seventy four mostly inhabited islands. There are many rainforests and white sand beaches in these islands. This is just a few meters away from the Great Barrier Reef, and here you can experience great landscape and a beautiful sunset. This is famous for its Clipper Race Carnival which is yacht-watching events, and have a great seafood experience.
Another Unesco World Heritage site on the north east coast of Queensland is the DAintree Rainforest. Here you find the largest tropical rainforest in Australia. The Kuku Yalanji people inhabit villages that site in this vast rainforest which is great to see. You can visit the Daintree Discovery Center where you can walk along their aerial walkways. If you want some quiet time along the beautiful coast, visit the Mysall Beach.
